CLR is a non-profit, national literary arts magazine that has been publishing poetry, prose, and possibility texts since 1997. We are a faculty-managed, student-run publication housed in the English Department at Clackamas Community College.

Our reading period runs from September 1 to December 31, with annual publication in the spring. We consider one prose or possibility piece, and up to three poems, during each period. Simultaneous submissions are A-OK; work that has been previously published in print or online--even if it was on your long-abandoned LiveJournal, Friendster or MySpace pages--is not. If you have work with us that has been accepted somewhere else, please withdraw it here in Submittable or email us at clr@clackamas.edu.

To ensure our student-run publication continues to thrive, we are instituting a small reading fee ($3) for electronic submissions. We are also offering an optional reading fee ($10) that will include a copy of the upcoming publication, hot off the press and shipped right to your U.S. postal address.

If you don't want to use this submission manager, we understand. That's why we still accept physical manuscripts the old school way, free of charge. Click here for details.
